आहसु विज्जाचरणं पमोक्खं
As the eyes and legs – both are necessary to walk, so are both the knowledge and conduct important to attain moksha. Without the conduct, knowledge is lame; and without the knowledge, conduct is blind. A lame man is not able to move but he can see. Opposed to this, a blind man can walk but because of wrong direction, he can reach a wrong place. खणमित्तसुक्खा बहुकालदुक्खा
Sense gratifications provide momentary pleasures but yield pain for long time
Pain through karma
सकम्मुणा विप्परियासुवेइ
Man is afflicted because of his own karma

Goddess Ahimsa is like refuge for the fearful

वओ अच्चेति जोव्वणं च
Age is receding and so the youth
Victory lies in winning the mind
इमेण चेव जुज्झाहि,
किं ते जुज्झेण बज्झओ ?
किं ते जुज्झेण बज्झओ ?
Fight with the internal perversions, what is the benefit of fighting externally?
Hide not the strength
नो निह्नवेज्ज वीरियं
One should not hide his strength

Inherent qualities of a man are lost due to four reasons : anger, envy, ingratitude and perversion
Fear not
ण भाइयव्वं, भीतं खु भया अइंति लहुयं
One should not be afraid; fear comes fast to the fearful
