सित्थेण दोणपागं, कविं च एक्काए गाहाए

Do not have enmity, opposition
न विरुज्झेज्ज केण वि
Do not nurture enmity or opposition against anyone
Weapon or weaponless ?
अत्थि सत्थं परेण परं|
नत्थि असत्थं परेण परं||
नत्थि असत्थं परेण परं||
There are weapons, which are one better than another, but there is nothing greater than weaponless ahimsa
Neither ill treat yourself, nor others
नो अत्ताणं आसाएज्जा, नो परं आसाएज्जा
Neither think low of yourself, nor think low of others

सुहुमे सल्ले दुरुद्धरे
A tiny thorn is picked with great difficulty
