Here you see small deharis, containing marble foot prints of Lord Adinath, who visited here 99 purva times; of Lord Ajitnath and Shantinath, who stayed here during the Chaturmas- a period of four months stay at one place; Lord Abhinandan Swami, by whose inspiration the eighth great resurrection of the Holy Shatrunjaya was performed and the likewise footprints are there. The Holiest Hill Shatrunjaya is before us with its peak beautified with thousands of Jain Temples. The ridges of the two hills, two thousand feet above sea level, are crowded with an incredible collection of temples and shrines having varied description and size. The highest part of the mountain top is occupied by Shri Adishwar Temple, a particularly ornate building dating from 1530 AD, situated on the site on which was, very much earlier temple dating from the time of Lord Adishwar, countless centuries ago. While doing the palitana jatra we come across Shri Pundarik Swami’s foot prints. While climbing up, on our right, there is a little dehri with a good history.
