One who is sleeping, he should get awakened. One who has awakened, he should rise i.e. he should leave the bed and rise and one who has risen he should not be lethargic i.e. he should standup and start walking on the path of attainment of his goal – path of righteousness.
Because by practice of righteousness only an aspirant can achieve success in his pursuit – by attaining the goal of salvation, he can become a siddha, not otherwise.
Laziness stands in between meditation like a wall. It hinders the awakened from rising and the risen from moving. Lethargy is the only thing, which makes the awakening of the sleeping a failure. Negligence only makes the progress of awakened futile.
Therefore, experienced wise men recommending ways of success in attainment of one’s goal have said that those who have risen, they should not be unvigilant.
