Capable of improving the self and others

Capable of improving the self and others

अलमप्पणो होंति अलं परेसिं

Wise men are capable in improving the self and others

Stone-boat sinks itself and let others also sink; but the boat made of wood floats itself and allow others also to float in it. This is the difference between a wise man and an ignorant. Ignorant aimlessly wanders in this world and make the dependants also drift along showing them wrong way of life; but the wise men neither gets astray nor lets others go off course. They are able to liberate themselves and liberate others also, they are wise themselves and also preach others, they free themselves and make others also free.
